Lake Orion Soccer
Club Proudly Announces The Spring 2008 Youth Academy
Designed to be
both a recreational and development program the Youth Academy is
enhanced for the spring season
The Lake Orion SC Youth Academy (YA) has been
designed to provide access to quality training to starting or young
soccer players of all abilities. It serves as both a local soccer
program for Lake Orion children to enjoy and also as a development
program into our travel teams for those who might be interested.
Like last fall, it starts with one hour of training per week
conducted by our trained professionals, who will provide a skill
level-specific and progressive curriculum. This time though, five
different training days/times will be offered.
In addition, this Spring the YA will still
offer each player two games on Fridays. However, this time the U7
and higher age groups will play both a 3v3 game and a 6v6 game while
the U6 and lower age groups will continue to play two 3v3 games.
Participation in the YA will be offered at only
$50 per player (plus uniform). For more information, click here.

The LOSC Fall 2007
Youth Academy Comes To A Successful End
Our recreational
and development program had a great first season
The Lake Orion S.C. Youth Academy in only its first season of
existance came to a successful end today. 66 girls and boys from
ages 4 to 10 years-old “graduated” by participating in 98 3v3 games
over more than 40 hours of playing time and 14 hours of training in
seven weeks. Under the leadership of our Director of Coaching Matt
Paukovits, the young players enjoyed great training and games.
Their progress as players was visible as the season went on. The
flexibility of our program proved to be very successful as we were
able to challenge players or increase their confidence from week to
week. It also allowed us the opportunity to make enhancements along
the way to ensure the great quality of our training and programs. We
hope to see all LOSC Youth Academy players again in the near
future. We had a great time !!! |

LOSC And LOBOS Are
Teaming Up To Raise Funds For The Schrauger Family
LOSC to match total donations by our
families this weekend
As many of you know, the Schrauger family of
Lake Orion has been devastated by the sudden deaths of two high
school-age sons, combined with a serious injury to another son
suffered in Iraq and the loss of their home. To help them in this
time of need, the leaders of the LOBOS and LOSC soccer clubs have
decided to join forces for a special fundraiser during all of this
weekend’s games involving our teams. For every goal your team(s)
score during this weekend’s games, we are asking for a $1 donation
per family per goal. For example, if your LOSC team scores four
goals in a game, then we are asking for a $4 donation to the special
fund. Any extra contributions are more than appreciated. |
